Natalie obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Psychology from The University of York, and completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University, Teachers College where she concentrated her studies in spirituality and mind-body practices. She is extremely passionate about helping her clients improve the quality of their life in a sustainable, lasting and meaningful way.
Natalie’s approach is heart-centered and collaborative; she welcomes all aspects of her clients and provides them with a safe and confidential therapeutic space to explore and understand their inner and outer worlds. She listens deeply to help each client uncover patterns and behaviors that may be causing them to remain stuck, dis-content and entangled with their suffering, and in the process supports them in developing resources that they can rely on to cope with their area of need and difficulty.
Natalie has a particular interest in with working with adolescents and young adults who are coping with anxiety, mood disorders, and eating disorders. She has worked with at-risk youths in crisis, and young adults actively recovering from eating disorders from a variety of cultural and societal backgrounds. Natalie tailors her approach to meet the needs of each client and utilizes an eclectic method that draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and mindfulness based therapy. Natalie holds genuine hope for each of her client to attain a greater sense of wellbeing on their recovery and healing journey.
In addition to psychotherapy, Natalie also conducts regular wellness workshops on self-care and stress management from a mindfulness and compassion‐based framework that honors each individual’s whole self, including their mind, body, heart and spirit.
